Soul Part and Power Retrieval
A lot of traditional cultures around the world believe that illness is due to soul loss. Similarly, modern psychotherapy talks about trauma symptoms often presenting as a fragmented sense of self. These parallel concepts of soul fragmentation can be defined as when a part of our being, essence, or soul may hide in an effort to protect itself. Soul loss can result from physical or psychological trauma, accidents, surgeries, and drug or alcohol misuse. This wounding can be recent or extend back to womb or infancy. The soul loss might be obvious or subtle or more of a gradual build up of an unpleasant or harmful life circumstance/situation/relationship. Or sometimes during the course of our lives we can become dissociated from aspects of ourselves.
The impact of soul loss can show up in our lives in a variety of ways. We can notice it with symptoms of depression, dysfunctional relationships, a sense of separation, physical illness, anxiety, and an inability to move forward in life.
Power Retrieval
Power can be lost when we give it away, often unconsciously, to the past, other people, ideologies, and disempowering beliefs. Energy binds and contracts in either a person’s soul history or ancestry can also result in power drains. A power retrieval finds incidents of lost authentic power and restores it. Sometimes this process involves releasing the benefits of power supplied by external sources.
Elemental Retrieval
Imbalances in our lives can also result from deficiency or surplus of elemental energies: earth for stability and groundedness, air for flexibility and change, fire for joy and inspiration, water for ease and fluidity, and space for openness and expansiveness. Indications of soul and/or elemental loss include inability to access certain emotions, creative potential, authentic personal power, and states of being such as peace and inner stability. A retrieval brings healing to dissociated soul parts and reconnects them to the present. As the work integrates, the qualities the soul parts and elemental energies carry will become manifest in your life.
Overshadowing and Compassionate Depossession
When spirits are affecting how a person feels, thinks, and/or acts, this is called overshadowing or possession. Overshadowing happens for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is incidental; many spirits are not aware that they are overshadowing. Sometimes it is the result of soul history or ancestral contacts with spirits. Sometimes we participate in systems and can attach to them energetically. These systems themselves can be ill and in need of healing. It is normal to experience overshadowing as our and it is not always easy to distinguish between our own thoughts and emotions and those of other beings in our vicinity.
Possession has been a feared word in our society however it can be quite common and not something we are even aware of. Possession is actually a natural and fairly regular occurrence and can have a big impact on our lives. We could be suffering from a spiritual illness known as possession illness and not even know it.
Possession is a benign energy or being (could be a dead person, animal or other spirit) that can attach itself to a person and overshadow them. This overshadowing can look like a physical pain or illness, a recurring behaviour or thought pattern that doesn't fit with our character or feels out of our control, a family trait or pattern that seems to get passed down generations, personality changes, and/or a particular feeling or knowing that something could be attached to your energetic field. We can find out about possession illness through dreams, meditations, life events, and/or psychotherapy.
During a Compassionate Depossession session, we work together to remove this energy and release it to where it belongs. Helping both you and the overshadowing energy. It is often a harmless processes that results in immediate relief for both. Extraction and cord cutting are other overshadowing examples and use a similar technique to release slightly different energetic connections and attachments.
Stuck Pattern (Curses and Thoughtforms) Unravelling
Stuck patterns are quite prevalent in many cultures and are essentially energetic artefacts which are created to impact our actions, health, and thinking. Some are ancestral and passed through our lineage, soul histories, and/or cultural collective beliefs and patterning.
Curses are basically stuck patterns. We can see these play out in our lives by noticing patterns of behaviours, life events, things repeatedly happening to us, continual stuck places, injuries, illness, chronic accidents, feeling we may be under attack, or even bad luck in certain areas of our life. Curses can be intentional or unintentional. A simple thought of harm to another with the combination of an intense emotion can create this type of pattern.
Thoughtforms are similar yet a bit different. Thoughtforms are a stuck energetic pattern that can show up as a belief pattern or thought that repeats in our lives. These thoughtforms can get passed through families as traditions, values, or beliefs. Cultural conditioning can also be seen as thoughtforms and the patterns we carry from the cultural beliefs in our society. Some are beneficial and some can feel harmful at times. We can mistakenly identify with thoughts, feelings, emotions, and body sensations/pain that at times could be better off externalized. For example, we can take on introjects or voices of others that have become part of our psyche that we need to and can remove.
Stuck pattern unravelling releases these entanglements. The unraveling process locates the source and intention of whatever is acting like a curse and dismantles it. During a session, Jaime will do the work through a series of short Shamanic Journeys while you set the intention to heal the patterns we have identified together.
Psychopomp Work
Psychopomp is a term used in traditional core shamanism to describe the process where a souls transition after death hasn't been completed and involves the healing and relocations of a spirit, human or otherwise, helping them complete their transition. One may notice a loved ones presence through dreams, thoughts, or even visions. Sometimes it is just a knowing that a loved one may need help after a death or it could be a feeling of something living in the same space, for example when moving into a new home or workplace.
Souls have difficulty transitioning when there is a traumatic death, suicide, attachment to the living, or a number of unique reasons that may be difficult to continue the souls journey. During psychopomp healing, we connect with the stuck soul energy and help it find it's place of belonging - sometimes healing is needed to complete this process.
Traditional Shamanic Healing
I work with three different models for Shamanic Healing:
1) The more traditional way in which I do the Shamanic Healing through a Shamanic Journey and then report back to you about the healing that happened.
2) The middle way: I do the Shamanic Healing through a traditional Shamanic Journey yet afterwards I share the healing with you during a guided process designed to allow. you a process of integration and make your own meaning of the healing and experience.
3) The more modern approach: I guide you into an altered state and then guide you through your own shamanic journey. We work with the wisdom of your body and spirit allies to complete the healing. You do the work in relationship with your body and allies - I support by holding space and guiding the process when needed. This is the most integrative way of working yet it is not for everyone or for every type of healing.
* For every Shamanic Healing session, I start with a divination to determine what healing might be needed. We can discuss this as well as your intention to develop a plan to proceed and the direction we take together.
